The Foundling and Other Tales from Prydain (1973). My favorite is book 4, Taran Wanderer, where he finally leaves his old ideas about life, and grows up, becomes his own man. Both THE LAST UNICORN and TARAN WANDERER (well, the entire PRYDAIN CHRONICLES) have had a huuuge impact on me as a writer and person. With Princess Eilonwy on the Isle of Mona to become a lady, Taran dreams of marrying her. The books have been nominated for and won awards in the world of children's literature.
